Silicone Bulb Reservoir
Medline’s Bulb Reservoir for Wound Drainage is an essential part of a closed wound drainage system that promotes wound healing by removing exudate and excess fluid from a patient’s surgical site wound. Each provides both continuous suction pressure and receptacles for fluid collection.
The Silicone Bulb Reservoir makes it easy to identify the type and amount of exudate at a glance, thanks to the clear graduated silicone walls. Additionally, the patient port helps prevent backflow of fluid into the patient, by way of its internal anti-reflux valve.
To increase patient mobility in the facility and improve the recovery journey, the reservoir can be easily attached to a wheelchair or patient bed, using the universal hanger included. Finally, it removes the risk of clinicians being exposed to blood when removing and disposing of the reservoir because of the disposable port with a screw cap that connects directly to a disposable bag.
And to fit various drainage needs, our bulb reservoir for wound drainage is available in three sizes: 100 cc/ml, 200 cc/ml and 400 cc/ml. The volume of each bulb reservoir also defines the level of depression, which is directly linked to the clinical procedure.
The Silicone Bulb Reservoir is part of Medline’s Closed Wound Drainage portfolio, which also includes exudate bags and silicone drains.
