Medline advances ESG mandate through charity activity

Medline Europe has put Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals at the heart of our operations. Our ESG activities encompass four key pillars - including efforts to improve people’s lives through our People and Communities pillar.

This month will see Medline further advance our People and Communities mandate through a new partnership with leading breast cancer organisation Think Pink Europe. The partnership has been launched to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month - and will see activities take place across the whole of October.

Think Pink Europe is an umbrella organisation that brings together more than twenty-five non-profit breast cancer organisations from across Europe. The organisation provides public reports on all its projects and is committed to the highest standards of ethics and transparency - a commitment in line with Medline’s ESG approach.

Medline Europe will launch the multi-year partnership with an initial charitable donation of €5,000. The partnership will expand thanks to a commitment from our Exam Gloves division to donate twenty eurocents for every box of Pink Nitrile Exam Gloves sold in Europe on an annual basis.

This means that the more Pink Nitrile Exam Gloves we sell, the greater Medline’s donation will be - both in 2025 and beyond.

To further support the new partnership, charitable and awareness-raising activities for Medline staff will also take place across all Medline Europe workplaces.

"We believe that partnering with Think Pink Europe, a single recognised and reliable European entity, is a great and efficient way to drive impact," says Carolina Costa, Medline's ESG Manager for the EMEA region.

“Think Pink Europe’s mission aligns with our own efforts to both expand healthcare access and affordability and deepen engagement with our staff and the wider community regarding health issues. We’re delighted to call them our new partner.”
