Medline Products in Action during Mission Svay Rieng, Cambodia

Medline, as a manufacturer and distributor of medical devices, is well-placed to play a role in addressing the fact that many communities lack access to reliable, affordable and high-quality healthcare services, including medical supplies. This is why our CSR programme supports product donations to communities in need.

In October 2018, Association pour la Formation Médicale au Cambodge (AFMC), a French NGO sent eight healthcare professionals (composed of four surgeons, one anaesthetist and three nurses) to Cambodia. AFMC helped the local clinic of Svay Rieng perform surgical procedures and brought along medical supplies, including exam gloves, scrub suits and facemasks donated by Medline.

Over the course of one week, the French team and local healthcare workers performed 28 surgical procedures on 26 patients. Besides work, the local team invited the visiting French clinicians to dinners and parties, which helped strengthen the bond between the two countries’ medical communities.
