Medline Châteaubriant (FR) manufacturing plant awarded ‘Industry of the Future Showcase’ label

The Industry of the Future Alliance (AIF - Alliance Industrie du Futur) has just awarded our Châteaubriant manufacturing plant the label ‘Industry of the Future Showcase’ for its M3DESIGN project. This award recognises the strong culture of innovation and operational excellence of the Châteaubriant site. It also reflects the hard work and unfailing commitment of all the European manufacturing teams to our industrial performance.

Created in 2015 under the leadership of Emmanuel Macron and the Minister of the Economy, Industry and Digital Sector, the AIF organises and coordinates initiatives, projects and work at a national level aimed at modernising and transforming industry in France.

Our M3DESIGN project has four objectives:

1. To create our product specifications via a custom 3D configurator
2. To automatically manage bill of material (BOM) changes and specification updates
3. To increase our competitiveness by reducing our manufacturing costs
4. To offer a unique and innovative customer experience by providing a digital and collaborative platform.

Thanks to its expertise, the Châteaubriant plant has joined the exclusive ‘Industry of the Future Showcase’ circle, which brings together 100 certified companies, with the aim of exchanging ideas on the ‘Industry of the Future’, sharing innovative industrial practices and visiting the sites where they have been implemented.
