Driving Change: Medline Unveils First Electric Truck in France

Medline, in partnership with GT Solutions, deployed its first electric truck, leveraging it for the distribution of medical-surgical  products in the Ille de France area from its Le Coudray-Montceaux-based site, on 14 March 2025. It is also the first time that GT Solutions has implemented an electric truck in the healthcare sector.

GT solutions is a French transportation company with roots dating back to 1946, providing it with a wealth of insights into delivering efficient transportation-based support to a range of customers. This partnership, therefore, represents a strategic step forward in the  decarbonisation of Medline’s transport of medical-surgical product. GT Solutions has been supporting Medline Europe for seven years in the distribution of medical-surgical products across France.

Electrification of freight transport

As part of its strategy for sustainability, Medline explores investments in renewable energy and innovative technologies to reduce its carbon footprint.

The introduction of this electric vehicle demonstrates Medline’s support for a more sustainable healthcare industry. This way, Medline can not only reduce its own environmental footprint but also help French customers to do the same, by reducing their Scope 3 emissions.
